Batwing Awning Systems
Modern Architecture & Tensile Membrane

Batwing Awning Systems

A batwing awning is an iconic, modern architectural shading system that works on the tensile-membrane principle. Its characteristic conical or pyramid form adds prestige and visual value to the spaces it covers. A dedicated steel structure and high-strength membrane fabric make it reliable even in high-wind regions.

Key System Advantages

Prestigious Architectural Presence

Its distinctive iconic design puts your space in the spotlight and strengthens your brand identity.

Wind & Storm Resistance

Aerodynamic form and tensioning hardware deliver excellent stability under severe wind loads.

Large Spans with Minimal Columns

Central or corner masts cover vast areas without restricting the floor plate.

15+ Year Structural Life

UV-protected, self-cleaning (PVDF/PTFE) membrane fabric technology.

Form and Design Types

Conical Series

A classic, elegant circular batwing form gathered to a central high mast.

Pyramid & Hyperbolic Series

Symmetric, dynamic, angular architectural lines with crossing high-low points.

Scale (4×4 m – 10×10 m+)

Coverage up to 100 m² in a single unit; modular side-by-side linking is available.

Dynamic Height (3 m – 6 m)

Peak height adjustable to the shade angle and sense of openness the project requires.

Engineering Standards & Logis Structural Warranty

Every batwing awning project is simulated in structural analysis software using the wind and snow maps of the installation region. Steel structure and stainless fittings provide lifetime structural security.

Our tensile membrane systems carry a 5-year membrane and 10-year structural warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Do Batwing Awnings Resist Wind?

Because the system is tensioned in a curved (double-curved) form rather than a flat plane, it does not hold wind loads on the surface — it transfers them laterally. Stainless-steel cables and robust concrete anchors make it highly resistant to storms.

Can the Membrane Fabric Be Cleaned?

The quality PVC/PVDF-coated membrane fabrics we use are antistatic. Rain washes dust and dirt off the surface; when needed, they can be rinsed easily with a pressure washer.

How Do Design and Installation Proceed?

Our technical team takes a 3D scan or millimetre- accurate measurements of the site, then runs architectural simulation and structural calculations. Factory-prepared modules are quickly bolted to the anchors on site.
